The Simplus mask is by far the best Full Face CPAP mask I have tried ( april 2017 ). Previously the Fisher and Paykel Forma was the best so Fisher and Paykel have done it again.
It is quiet, comfortable and gives a great seal.
The Forma was comfortable but I did have to have it adjusted tightly against my face to get a good seal which did leave a few marks on my face in the morning but the Simplus leaves not marks at all.
The headgear is made from stretchy material which means you done have to undo the clips of the side when the put he mask on or when taking off
Cleaning is simple and easy as the mask clips out from the frame.
Many Full Face masks can often press on the bridge of the nose causing bruising this simply does not happen with the Simplus. That area is soft and flexible.
The Resmed F20 Full Face mask is available in the Airfit and Airtouch. The only differnce is the Airfit has a silicone seal and the Airtouch has a memory foam seal.
The silicone seal on the Airfit is rather stiff and is simply not comfortable on my face at all. If fact is it the most uncomfortable mask I have ever tried.
This may not be the case for everyone but I don't understand why the silicone is so hard. Previous Resmed masks have used softer silicone so why the change I don't know. However in saying that, the mask gives a very good seal.
However the Airtouch ( Memory Foam ) is incredibly comfortable, it is even more comfortable than the Fisher and Paykel Simplus. The catch is that the memory foam cushion will only last 4 - 8 weeks (depending on the usage) before it starts to break.
In my case the cushion stayed perfect for 8 weeks and then a break started to appear at the top where the cushion fits over the nose.[...]
The TPS ( Throttle Position Sensor ) in the Delica starts to wear out over time and it sends the incorrect data to the ECU which causes the transmission to change gears at the wrong speed or revs.
In my Delica the gear change from first to second gear happened almost immediately I took off.
Now this is not a big problem as the 3.0 litre V6 in the Delica has a lot of low down grunt but the gear change from 2nd to 3rd happened very quickly indeed so I was in top gear within 10 seconds of driving.
I could have replaced the TPS which you can buy an aftermarket version from Ebay for around $120.00 - $150.00 ( apr 2018) but installing is a bit tricky as it is located behind the inlet manifold so some
mechanical dexterity is required to do the job.
If you took the vehicle to the mechanic to fix it could cost up to $500.00 or maybe even more depending on whether the TPS was OEM or aftermarket.
